Armadillo Inspiration

Hedgehog top from Topshop
When I saw this sweet stitched armadillo here yesterday I showed it to my boyfriend, who was sitting next to me. He told me that he preferred hedgehogs, which reminded me of my hedgehog top which I haven't worn for a while, and some of my other animal themed tops. Unfortunately I don't own anything as exciting as an red armadillo top yet though! In other armadillo news, the book I'm currently reading is A Change of Climate by Hilary Mantel and I came across a passage today about armadillo shaped bread! It's a brilliant read so far: another excellent recommendation from my mum.

'We make bread when we've got the oven going, when we're in the mood. I'm learning from a book how to make bread in patterns. I can do plaited loaves, wheatsheafs, prehistoric monsters, frogs and armadillos. The armadillos get a lot of admiration - but all you do is make a monster, and squash it, and bake the top in points.'

Heard the temperature is soo freezing cold there, I was already freezing my butt off when I was in Newcastle this January! Hehe. Would love to meet up with you if I visit Edinburgh, it's soooo pretty I heard!
