Hearts and Flowers

I love hearts. It is in the name of my blog after all! I fell in love with this dress at first sight. Covered in tiny multicoloured hearts, what could be better?! And it has pockets. That's always a winning quality for me. We took these photos in front of the gorgeous flowering plants in Princes Street Gardens in between rain showers. We managed to get these taken when the sun was out and I felt warm. However, I spent most of the day putting my cardigan on, taking my cardigan off, putting my boyfriends hoodie on, taking it off...the weather is very unpredictable at the moment! And yes, the hoodie looked a little silly over the dress, but it got so cold at one point that I just didn't care!

I love this navy blue polka dot covered dress: I bought it about a year ago, and the very first time I wore it, I spilled sauce from a pizza on it! But luckily the stain came out, and I've worn it so much since. It's easy to dress up or down, and goes with tights and boots in the winter or bare legs in the summer, with flat or heels. I thought I'd take this bag out for the day too: it's so summery and fun. My boyfriend insists however that it is a heart shaped box and not a bag!

Ladylike in Black and White

I always feel ladylike when I wear this New Look dress. Initially I wasn't too keen on it but I've grown to like it, and I love all of the pretty details like the lacy collar and the silky inner lining. The furry Topshop bag was a Christmas present, and my staple handbag this winter: my previous (cream) handbag had an unfortunately close relationship with my navy blue winter coat and ended up turning blue!
